I began construction on my webpage at last, using OPP. The domain elizabethashe.com is lonely, alone on my New Year's Resolution list. In looking over my art portfolio yet again, I noticed something. I don't carve anymore, in the "to carve" definition within "sculpture". I hands-down consider myself a sculptor if I have to give one word for my art. I have not carved much in over four years. I have turned to cuts, sutures, blends, casts, other ways to make marks. And strangely, I am okay with this. I like where my work is going. This explains why I love the idea of learning how to carve in marble, but have not done so. I might get there, I might not. Maybe I will save that for when I have a "writer's block" in my ability to create.
Now, to break this to the alabaster blocks I still have on the shelves.
